Use these steps to update your Account settings, Notifications and to update your Profile in LEARN.

To access your Account SettingsNotification settings, and your Profile click on your name in the top right-hand corner of any Waterloo LEARN page.

Profile

Your Profile is where you can add personal information you would like to share with fellow Waterloo LEARN users.

 All information included in your Profile will be visible to all users who have access to your course(s).

Profile Picture

Your profile picture will be visible to all users who have access to your course(s).

  1. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner.

  2. Click on Profile.

  3. Click on the Change Picture button.

  4. Click on the Upload button to browse your device for your photo or drag and drop your photo.

  5. Click the Add button.

Account Settings

The Account Settings feature allows you to personalize Waterloo LEARN to suit your preferences. Click on your name and then Account Settings to make changes.

The Account Settings tab allows you to customize Waterloo LEARN.

Discussion Settings

This Discussions tab of Account Settings allows you to set the default Discussion Settings for the system.

Email Settings

The Email tab of Account Settings allows you to personalize your email settings in LEARN.

After the initial email has been sent, all subsequent correspondence as a result of that email will take place through your email client of choice (forwarding setting on your WatIAM account).

Notifications

The Notifications tab of Account Settings allows you to control how you receive notifications about activity in your courses and how often you receive them.

 Changing your email address to a non-uWaterloo email account will cause the notification to fail.

Once you are done updating your notifications click Save.

Note: Safari may not save the changes made to your notifications settings, if this is the behaviour you experience, try modifying your Notifications settings using Firefox or Chrome instead.
