Notes

  • Members of audience can open their mic and speak at any time, they don’t need permission from the host.
  • Meetings is the most interactive option for meetings.
  • Meetings can bridge between internet calls and telephone call ins.

 

  • Microphone are muted unless enabled by the instructor.
  • Breakout rooms can be used to create smaller work groups, etc.
  • WebEx Events is used to deliver presentations to a very large audience with fewer interactions like a webinar.
  • Most of audience interactions are done via chat and Q&A, there are panelist roles that can be assigned and be used as moderators.
  • There are audience registrations, surveys, etc.

 

 

  • WebEx Teams combines live collaboration with offline space for a continued contribution. You have live audio/video communication that can be followed by discussions, files sharing, etc.
  • You can create ad hoc spaces for break out room.

 


Please note: WebEx Teams is in pilot at the University of Waterloo. This tool may require more support during the pilot stage.
