Waterloo Rocketry Onboarding Checklist

So, you want to join Waterloo Rocketry? Lucky for you, the procedure is not particularly difficult. Some steps will be dependent on which kind of work you want to do.

Steps…

Fill out the Team Form

You should receive an email inviting you to join the Slack shortly.

Complete the safety training

  • Head to uWaterloo Learn under Self-Registration and sign up for

    • Worker Health & Safety Awareness (4 step process)

    • Student Design Centre Safety Requirements

    • ESMS Safety Orientation

    • Cryogenic and Compressed Gas Safety

    • WHMIS 2015 for Students

  • Send screenshots of completed course to ABM Hussein (safety captain) via Slack

  • Ask in whichever single channel you have been added to for a tour of the

Get added to the Clickup

Ping Delaney Dyment in Slack and request to be added

Get added to the Google Drive

Ping Delaney Dyment in Slack and request to be added

Go to the weekly meetings!

  • They are easily the most useful

  • You can find the most up to date information about them on the team calendar.

  • As of Winter ‘22 term, they were held in E5 2004

Read the team manual

  • It’s basically the single most useful introductory document in the whole team.

  • There are sections for each different aspect of the team and some of the example projects within. If you are curious as to what you can contribute to, this is a good informational thing to start with.
