Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on Signers

  2. Try to find the signer by the username in the search criteria in All address books

  3. If found, click the checkbox next to their name and click Add

  4. If not found, click on New signer

    1. Click Trusted electronic signature

    2. Enter the contact’s first name and last name

    3. Enter the contact’s username@uwaterloo.ca (can be found at https://idm.uwaterloo.ca/search/)

    4. Click Next

    5. On the Contact authentication page, you will be able to select which address book to add the new signer. Best practice when adding an internal, University of Waterloo signer is to add them to the Organization’s address book so others can use this signer.

    6. Click New

  5. You will now see the UW signer’s name under Number of zones available for you to drag and drop this signature zone to the appropriate location on your document

Important

Remember to download all of your contracts as this is not a document repository and your signed contracts/audit trail will be purged after 3 months.
