What is the GMAT?
The GMAT is a standardized, computer-based exam administered by Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) and taken online either at home or at a test centre. It assesses your problem-solving skills, critical reasoning, reading comprehension skills and data literacy skills.
What’s on it? What kinds of questions can I expect? How long does it take to complete?
It takes approximately two hours and 15 minutes to complete, including an optional ten minute break.
To measure your knowledge and skills it’s broken down into three sections:
Quantitative Reasoning
21 questions
45 minutes to complete
Tests your problem solving skills
Verbal Reasoning
23 questions
45 minutes to complete
Tests your critical reasoning and reading comprehension
Data Insights
20 questions
45 minutes to complete
