Round Arch

The curve in this arch takes the shape of a semi-circle. The round arch is a common arch form that can be found around windows, doors, tunnels etc. This design can be expanded by placing the arches in rows, stretching them down (to create tunnels) and spinning them around (to create domes).

Pointed Arch 

A pointed arch places more stress on the very tip of the arch, where the point is, which actually concentrates, rather than evenly distributes, the pressure.As a result, pointed arches can exceed the height of the average round arch, allowing for much taller buildings and therefore more interior space [1] .
