The Crestron system can project video from a PC, Laptop, or Document Camera (DocCam). To get started, select the Dual Image option or This Room Only if you are projecting in PHR 1012. Follow the steps numbered below to set up your local presentation.

Projection

You may also want to project to neighbouring lecture halls. Only rooms PHR 1012 and PHR 1004 support this function. When in overflow mode, anything said into the main room’s microphone will also project to the overflowed rooms, but there is no way to communicate from the overflowed rooms to the main room.

Select the desired overflow option on the Crestron panel interface before moving on to the next section. You can stop the overflow projection by selecting Switch mode on the Crestron panel interface. The GIF below demonstrates how to stop the overflow projection.

PC

  1. Select the PC tab on the bottom control panel of the Crestron projector's screen.

  2. Tap the red X under each display and Classroom Sound.

  3. Tap the send button. Your PC's display should be visible on each projector and the preview monitor.

Locate and tap the MIC tab on the Crestron panel. This will open a new window with audio sliders. There are 3 microphone options to choose from.

For speakers that intend to use their hands during their presentation

For speakers who are comfortable holding a microphone and speaking

Goose/Podium

For speakers that intend to stay close to the podium during the presentation

After you have selected a microphone, locate the power switch and power it on. To activate the podium mic, tap the red muted button on the Crestron interface. It should read mute if this action was performed correctly.

On the control panel, swipe to Stage Camera on the sidebar at the bottom of the screen and select it. Users have the option to select one of four camera angles available.
