Starting a projection

To get started, tap the surface of the screen to awaken the system. Depending on the location of your classroom, your Crestron screen interface may appear slightly different.

  1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop. The HDMI cable transmits video and audio.

  2. Connect the USB cable to your laptop.

  3. Connecting the USB cable also allows you to use the classroom cameras and microphone instead of your laptop camera and microphone. Press the button above the LT label on the switch to activate this feature. You should see a camera icon appear on the camera app as shown in the red circle in the image below.

Clicking the camera icon will switch between using your laptop camera and the classroom cameras.

  1. Select the Laptop tab on the bottom panel of the Crestron projector's screen

  2. Tap the red X under each display option and Classroom Sound.

  3. Tap the send button. Your laptop's screen should be visible on each projector and the preview monitor.

To stop streaming to any display, tap the green checkmark underneath the display icon and tap the send button again to update your change.

DocCam

The DocCam can be used to stream the written notes onto either projector or the classroom preview monitor.

  • On the control panel, swipe to Stage Camera on the sidebar at the bottom of the screen and select it.

    Only in PHR 1004, there is an option called Audience Camera on the control panel

  • Users have the option to select one of four camera angles available.

    • Privacy: Prevents the camera from recording.

    • Podium: Captures the podium speaker area.

    • Wide Front Shot: Captures the entire front view.

    • White Board: Focuses on the whiteboard.

  • The camera can be manually adjusted by using the control panel.

    • Can zoom in and out using the “+” and “-” symbols.

    • There’s a control pad that allows users to move the camera in all directions.

How to Adjust the Lights and Blinds

On the control panel, swipe to Lights on the sidebar at the bottom of the screen and select it. There are 4 different brightness levels that the lights can be changed toavailable:

  • High

  • Medium

  • Low

  • Presentation
