Note

For security reasons, you cannot directly

...

email a letter to a patient/client from Accuro.

...

However, the following is a workaround:

  1. Launch Accuro and sign in.

  2. Go to the Patients area and load the patient.

  3. Switch to the EMR module.

  4. Use the drop-down to choose *Referral Letter or Letter.

  5. Write the body of the letter and click Gen. Letter.

  6. Click the X icon. Enter To Whom It May Concern in the Recipient Name field and (000) 000-0000 in the Fax Number field.  Click OK.

  7. Add/remove text from the letter as desired. Once the letter is ready, click the Print button at the bottom.

  8. In the Print window that opens, use the drop-down to select Adobe PDF and click OK.

  9. In the window that opens, enter a file name and navigate to where you'd like to save it (e.g., your

    N drive

    OneDrive) and click Save.

Now that the letter has been generated and saved, send it to the patient/client:

  1. If there is no personal health information (PHI) in the letter, simply open your email and send the letter to the patient/client as an attachment.

  2. If there is PHI in the letter, open Healthmail in Accuro and send the letter as an attachment to the patient/client.

Infowarning

Remember to delete the letter from where you saved it in Step 9 above.
