How do I opt out?

I’ve opted of UHIP but now I am coming to Canada during the term. What do I do?

  1. You will be personally responsible to arrange for your own travel and medical insurance for yourself and any dependents; you must inquire about acquiring sufficient medical coverage similar or comparable to UHIP coverage, before travelling to Canada, or commencing your studies in person in Canada.

  2. If you decline UHIP coverage and then arrive in Canada during the term and you do not make arrangements for sufficient medical coverage, you and your dependents will be personally responsible for your own medical treatments, medications, hospitalization, illnesses, diseases or medical emergencies and all related expenses, claims and damages.
