Search for a user name


  1. In Skype for Business, click the contact tab or the dial pad tab and type the user's name into the search bar.


  2. Right-click on the user's profile click Call and choose the option you want to use to call them.

Search for a phone number + extension

Note

Some users won't appear as they might not have their extension set up with their Skype profile

  1. In Skype for Business, type the UW phone number + extension formatted as 519-888-4567 x##### (Note: You must include the dashes in the number).


  2. Right-click on the user's profile click Call and choose the option you want to use to call them.

Call through the dial pad (External Contacts)

  1. Click the dial pad button in the top ribbon, dial the number, and click the Call button. You can treat this dial pad like a regular phone, this is the way you would call contacts outside UW.
