iPhone
- Open Settings
- Select Accounts & Passwords
- Select Add Account
- Tap Microsoft Exchange
- Enter in your uwaterloo email
- Enter in a Description if desired e.g. Work Email
- Tap Next
- It may ask you “Sign in to your “uwaterloo.ca” Exchange account using Microsoft?”, press Configure Manually
- Enter in your uwaterloo email password
- Tap Next
- Select the files you want to be transferred/saved onto your phone – ensure Mail is on (green)
- It should now appear in your iphone’s Mail application
Android devices
- Open Settings
- Select General
- Select Accounts
- Tap Add account
- Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
You will need to enter following information to set up your email account:
- Email Address: userid@uwaterloo.ca
- Domain\Username: nexus\WatIAm username
- Password: your WatIAM password
- Server Address: connect.uwaterloo.ca
Follow the screen instructions. You will need to tap OK a couple of times and tap Activate at the end.
BlackBerry Android devices
Add an email account to the BlackBerry Hub:
- Tap the BlackBerry Hub
- Tap Add account
- Enter your email address, and then tap Manual Setup
- Tap your account type - Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
- Email address: userid@uwaterloo.ca
- Username: nexus\WatIAM username
- Password: WatIAM password
- Server name: connect.uwaterloo.ca
- Tap Next
- Tap OK
- Tap Activate
BlackBerry OS 10
On the device, swipe from the top and go to:
- Open Settings
- Select Accounts
- Select Add Account
- At the bottom > go to Advanced, and select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
- Description - can be anything you want
- Domain = nexus
- Username is your userid (WatIAM username )
- Email Address is your userid@uwaterloo.ca
- Password – your WatIAM password
- Server Address : connect.uwaterloo.ca
- Tap Next > Done
